4 chicken breasts or 8 chicken tenders
2 tbsp water
1 cup italian bread crumbs
1 jar four cheese marinara sauce
8 slices provolone cheese
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a cutting board, cut the chicken breasts into fourths and the chicken tender pieces into half. In a small bowl, whip together the eggs and water. Dip each chicken breast or tender into the egg mixture, then roll in the bread crumbs on both sides.
Place chicken on a lightly greased baking sheet. Cover. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink in the center. Uncover the last five minutes of baking to brown the breadcrumbs.
While chicken is cooking, open jar and place marinara in a saucepan. Cover and set to low to warm while chicken is cooking.
Remove chicken from oven, open slider bun and place one of the chicken breasts inside the bun. Top with several tablespoons of marinara and a slice of provolone cheese. You can also add lettuce if desired.
